Commissions
Turn a Meaningful Moment Into an Original Painting
Whether it’s a beloved pet, a portrait of someone special, or a landscape with personal meaning, David creates one-of-a-kind oil paintings made specifically for you. Every commission begins with your story, your reference images, and a conversation about what you envision. David then translates those ideas into an original painting created by hand in his studio.

How the Commission Process Works
Submit Your Inquiry
Complete the commission form below and tell me about your project. Include your preferred size, subject, budget, deadline, and any reference photographs you'd like me to consider.
I'll review your request and respond with availability, pricing, and next steps.
Approve the Details
Once we've discussed your project, we'll confirm the painting size, composition, background, materials, price, and estimated completion date.
You'll receive a final commission agreement outlining the details before work begins.
Pay Your Deposit
A 50% deposit is required to reserve your place on my commission schedule and begin the painting.
The remaining balance is due before shipping.
Accepted payment methods:
- Stripe
- PayPal
- Venmo
- Bank transfer
- Credit/Debit Card
Painting Begins
Once your commission is confirmed, I'll begin working from the approved reference material.
Depending on the project, I'll share progress photographs during the painting process so you can see your piece develop from the initial stages through completion.
Final Approval
When the painting is complete, I'll send you photographs of the finished work.
One minor revision is included after the final preview. Major changes to the composition or subject after approval may require an additional fee.
Because each painting is an original work of art, changes requested after painting has begun may not always be possible.
Your Painting Comes Home
Once the final balance has been received, your painting will be carefully prepared for delivery or shipping.
You'll receive:
- The original oil painting
- Certificate of Authenticity
- Framing Information (if applicable)
- Secure packaging and shipping/tracking information
